REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. An anomaly was observed 42 nautical miles Southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana. The possible slick spanned a length of 1.1 nautical miles and had an average width of 0.19 nautical miles. The potential slick had strong contrast with the surrounding water, well defined edges, and seemed to be emanating from a nearby oil facility. Winds at the time were coming from a Southerly direction at around 10kts. The Confidence for this report is High.
