REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil measured 5.5 nm long and 1.5 nm across. It stood out dark against the surrounding environment with a central area of silver and rainbow sheen, indicative of thicker oil. The anomaly was located in Breton Sound, Louisiana and is likely associated with NRC 1345926, which reported bubbling from the pipeline at this location the same day. Winds were NE 7 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: No point source was identified but the possible oil appeared to emanate from the pipeline running through the center of the anomaly and mentioned in the related NRC report.
