REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The anomaly had a distinct shape with a sharp right turn which is indicative of oil anomalies. The slick appeared to come from a known repeat leak source, Wreck 1487, that is the source of many NRC reports and previous Hotline #9531. The anomaly measured approximately 3.02 nmi long and 0.09 nmi wide. Winds at the time were west at 7 kts.



UNCERTAINTIES: Light cloud covered the area which made it difficult to discern the full extent of the anomaly. Additional unknown features were observed to the west of the source, though it is unclear if it is additional oil or a different artifact.
