REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. A linear anomaly was observed 32.8 nautical miles east of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The anomaly spanned a length of 28 nautical miles and had a rough width of 0.6 nautical miles. The anomaly possess many characteristics associated with a bilge dump such as the slick fanning out from one end to another, feathering around the edges, and strong contrast with the surrounding water. The potential bilge dump appears to have originated in international waters, crossing over into U.S. waters. Winds at the time were blowing from an Easterly direction at 5 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: No source vessel was seen at the time of observation, making the Confidence for this report Medium-High.
