REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. An anomaly was observed 42.6 nautical miles Southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana. The anomaly spanned a length of 0.89 nautical miles and had a rough width of 0.03 nautical miles. The anomaly strongly contrasted with the surrounding water and had a silvery sheen indicating a thicker region of oil. An oil facility was observed nearby (off screen). Wind data at the time is unavailable. The Confidence for this report is High.
