REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The slick was broken into two sections, one extended about 0.75 NM long and the other about 0.45 NM long, with the widest section around 0.20 NM wide at its widest point. Additionally, the anomaly had good contrast with its background and was suspected to originate from a point source in the vicinity. Finally, the slick may be associated with a recent NRC report, #1349074. Winds were out of the ENE at 15 KT at the time of the image. Considering the above factors, we have HIGH confidence in this assessment.

UNCERTAINTIES: Although the slick was not connected to a point source, it is suspected to be associated with a nearby oil facility in the scene.
