REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery.  The slick had a strong and dark contrast to the surrounding environment, appeared to emanate from an oil platform in the High Island area of the Gulf of Mexico, and was likely associated with NRC # 1350354. The slick was approximately 2.44nm in length, and approximately 2.67nm at the widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the south at 10kts.
