REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil appeared to emanate from the Mon Forte facility in Ship Shoal area 291 off the Louisiana coast. The possible oil was approximately 15 nm long and .2 nm across its widest point. It appeared out of place and was distinguishable from other natural phenomena in the area. Winds were NE 7 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The possible oil extended beyond the boundary of the image; the true extent may be greater than estimated in this report.
