REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil appeared to emanate from the Mon Forte facility in Ship Shoal area 291 off the Louisiana coast. It measured approximately 15.74 nmi long and up to 0.17 nmi in width. The slick appeared dark and had high contrast against the background. Winds at the time of image were from the NE at 10-15 knots. Confidence was determined to be high given the association with a suspected point source reported earlier and high contrast to the background.

The slick was the subject of previous reports NRC #1351051 and #1351052.
