REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. A linear anomaly was observed 83 nautical miles Southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana. Spanning a length of 1.4 nautical miles and a rough width of 0.06 nautical miles, the potential slick was seen in the vicinity of an active oil facility. The potential slick had strong contrast with the surrounding water and appeared to be emanating from the nearby facility. Winds at the time were blowing in a Northern direction at around 5kts. The confidence for this report is Medium-High.
