REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. An anomaly was observed 150 nautical miles South of Galveston, Texas. Spanning a length of 7.4 nautical miles with a rough width of 1.3 nautical miles, the potential slick was seen in the vicinity of several active oil facilities, but did not have a trail connecting it to any particular one. The potential slick was diffused but still had strong contrast with the surrounding water. Winds at the time were blowing in a Southwesterly direction at 8kts. The Confidence for this report is Medium-High.
