REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The segmented anomaly as a whole was approximately 12.7 nm in length and approx. 0.28 nm wide. The two most southern segments exhibited a white/shimmer center which is a characteristic of relatively thicker oil. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the SE at 9 kts.


UNCERTAINTIES: The full extent of the anomaly was unknown due to clouds coverage over the anomaly. There are various oil facilities and pipelines so it was difficult to determine a point source.
