REMARKS: REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery.  An oil slick was seen in this false color image 60.16 nm Southeast of New Orleans, LA. The slick extended a length of 9.29 nm and had a rough width of 0.15 nm.  The slick had strong contrast with the surrounding water and had several patches of a metallic sheen (indicative of thicker oil). Winds were from the south-southwest at 15 knots. The Confidence for this report is Medium-High.

UNCERTAINTIES: The potential source of the anomaly could not be identified.
