REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil slick was located in Main Pass 57 area of Louisiana. It had multiple segments and the longest one measured approximately 7.75 nmi, and was up to 0.54 nmi in width. The slick appeared dark in color and had silver/white shimmer to part of the slick. It had sharp unnatural turns but false positives with similar contrast were seen nearby. Winds at the time of image were from the south at 10-15 knots. Confidence was determined to be Medium-High since a point source could not be determined and there were false positives with similar contrast nearby.

UNCERTAINTIES:
There were multiple oil facilities in the area but a direct point source could not be determined. The exact boundaries of the slick might not be accurate because of the nearby false positives.
