REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil was located about 16 nmi SW of Venice, LA, and measured approximately 3.45 nmi in length and up to 0.28 nmi in width, appearing to emanate southward from an oil facility. It had a distinct appearance against its background and contained some well-defined edges. Winds at the time of the image were from the NE at 8-10 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: There were no known reports of an oil slick or release in the area.
