REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The segmented (possible) oil slick extended about 11 NM long by around 0.75 NM wide at its widest point, had good contrast with its background and, importantly, had feathering consistent with wind-blown oil on the water surface. This feathering aligned well with the winds out of the ESE at 10 KT at the time of the image. Additionally, a point source was noted in the image. All of the noted factors suggest a bilge dump. Considering the above, we have HIGH confidence in this assessment.
