REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery.  The slick had a dark appearance to the surrounding environment. Portions of the slick were linear in nature. The slick was in the Main Pass area of the Gulf of Mexico, and was likely associated with NRC# 1367324. There were brighter returns throughout the anomaly extents which are indications of thicker oil. The slick was approximately 4.60nm in length, and approximately 1.28nm at the widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the north at 7kts.



UNCERTAINTIES: Portions of the slick tested positive for vegetation. The full extent of the anomaly could not be determined due to imagery unavailability. Even with these uncertainties, due to a report falling within the slick location, our confidence for this report is high.
