REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil appeared to trail from a vessel observed approximately 60 nm east of Port St. Lucie, Florida. The possible oil showed characteristics of a bilge dump, with well defined edges that contrasted sharply with natural phenomenon present in the scene. The possible oil was also segmented and widened noticeably with distance from the vessel for approximately 116 nm to the north as the oil crossed into the US EEZ. Winds were N 5 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The possible oil appeared to continue north beyond the extent of the image, resulting in an under-estimate of the surface area of oil in this report. Natural phenomena present in the scene may have also obscured the full extent of the oil.
