REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The linear anomaly was observed 167.13 nautical mile Southeast of Houston, Texas, emanating from a suspected vessel. The suspected slick had a rough length of 9.6 nautical miles and a rough width of 0.04 nautical miles. The potential slick demonstrated characteristics of a bilge dump being that it had a metallic sheen that intermittingly appeared trailing behind a moving vessel. Winds at the time were blowing in a Northerly direction at 11 kts. This report has a Medium-High Confidence.
