REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was about 7.29 nm north of the Gulf of Mexico EEZ border. The anomaly was approximately 2.14 nm long and 0.35 nm at its widest. The shimmery slick tested negative for vegetation and was distinguishable from natural phenomena. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the NW at 9 kts. which aligned well with the orientation of the anomaly.
