REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil appeared to be the result of a bilge dump from a vessel located approximately 155 nmi SE of Savannah, GA. The possible oil was in multiple segments beginning 13.4 nmi SSE from the suspected source, and was approximately 3.6 nmi in aggregate length, and up to 0.6 nmi in width. Each segment was dark against its background with sharp edges and sharp corners, and appeared to start and stop abruptly. Winds at the time of the image were from the SW at around 15 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The possible oil was not connected to the suspected source, although all segments and the vessel were in line with each other. There was no appreciable widening with distance. These factors limited confidence to medium that this was oil.
