REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate from an oil facility located in Trinity Bay along the Texas Gulf coast, and had a dark, distinct appearance with well-defined edges compared to surrounding false positives and natural features. Small areas of milky-white coloring near the suspected source suggested the possible presence of thicker oil. The anomaly extended generally east-northeastward from the suspected source, and measured approximately 2.4 nmi in length and up to 0.06 nmi in width. Winds at the time of the image were generally from the west at around 5 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: There were no known reports of an oil slick in the area. A wake from a vessel was observed across the anomaly.
