REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was linear in shape, had a well-defined contrast to the surrounding environmental background, and appeared to emanate from the repeat leak source (Wreck 1487), south of Nantucket Island. The slick was approximately 1.86nm in length, and approximately 0.10nm at the widest point. There were brighter portions of the slick which are indications of thicker oil. Winds near the time of the image were out of the north at 13kts.
