This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. An oil slick was centered 11 nm north northeast of Texas City. The slick was 2.4 nm long and appeared to be associated with an oil facility. Winds were 6 knots from the southwest. UNCERTAINTIES: Several oil facilities were in close proximity of one another. One of them was believed to be associated with the oil slick, which appeard out of place relative to its surroundings.
