REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The fragmented, linear slick was approximately 1.96 nm long and approx. 0.05 nm wide. The dark colored anomaly was distinguishable from natural phenomena and had good contrast against the ocean. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the SW between 5-10 kts.


UNCERTAINTIES: There was some doubt whether or not the two most southern fragments were associated with the main linear slick due to its proximity to natural oil further south and its orientation.
