REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil appeared to emanate from an active producing well in the South Timbalier Area (ST0119) of Louisiana. It measured approximately 1.45 nmi in length and up to 0.05 nmi in width. The slick appeared dark and stood out well against the background. Winds at the time of image were from the SW at 5-10 knots. Confidence was determined to be high given the association with a suspected point source and visible chromatic characteristics.
