REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil.  The oil slick was curvilinear in shape, had well defined edges, contrasted strongly against the ocean background, and appeared to emanate from the known repeat leak source shipwreck (Wreck 1487).  The slick was approximately 3.9 nmi long and 0.1 nmi to 0.2 nmi wide.  Winds near the time of the image ranged from 7 to 9 knots, coming from the south.

UNCERTAINTIES:  There were false positives in the vicinity.  However, because this oil came from a known repeat leak source, we have high confidence in this report.
