REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was linear in shape, had sharp well-defined edges, and had a strong contrast to the surrounding environment. The slick appeared to emanate from the known repeat leak source the Destroyed Taylor Platform in Mississippi Canyon block 20. The slick was approximately 3.54nm in total length, and approximately 0.07nm at the widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the north at 7kts, which aligned well with the trajectory of the slick.
