REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was linear in shape, had a dark and strong contrast in the surrounding environment, and appeared to be associated with a possible bilge dump. The slick was approximately 57nm southeast of Miami, Florida, and approximately 81nm northeast of Key West, Florida, and was approximately 4.35nm east of the U.S. EEZ. The slick showed indications of possible feathering in the southern portion of the slick. The slick was approximately 42.04nm in length, and approximately 0.65nm at the widest point. Winds were out of the N/NE at 8kts near the time of the image, which aligned well with the feathering trajectory at the southern portion of the slick.


UNCERTAINTIES: No point source could be identified as there were multiple vessels within the imagery extents.
