REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil.  The oil slick was curvilinear in shape, had well defined edges, contrasted strongly against the ocean background, and appeared to emanate from the known repeat leak source Wreck 1487.  The oil slick was approximately 16.0 nmi long and roughly 0.1 nmi long along most of its length.  Thicker oil was visible along approximately the first 1.35 nmi of its length.  Winds near the time of the image were at 8 knots coming from the northwest.
