REMARKS: A linear anomaly was observed 72.27 nautical miles Southeast of Houma, Louisiana. The potential slick spanned a length of 2.49 nautical miles and was emanating from a known platform. Additionally, it had several characteristics associated with a possible oil slick such as sharp contrast with the surrounding water, well defined edges, and extensive feathering that gradually dispersed outwards. It is for these various reason that the Confidence for this report is High.
