REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was believed to be the same sheen that was reported in NRC report 1385773, in which a spotter reported an anomaly that was without an identifiable source. The slick was thought to contain oil since it produced a noticeable, dark feature in radar imagery. The slick measured about 2.5 nm long and was 0.7 nm wide at its widest point. Winds recorded in the vicinity around the time of the satellite image were westerly at 10-15 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: Although the slick was reported by an observer at a nearby oil facility, the source of the slick is unknown.
