REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was linear in shape, had well-defined edges, and had an appearance that stood out from the surrounding environment, and appeared to emanate from the known shipwreck (W.D. Anderson), which has been in recent reports of possibly leaking oil. The slick was approximately 12.26nm in length, and approximately 0.06nm wide. Winds near the time of the image were out of the north between 13-18kts. This location is likely associated with the following NRC reports: #1392522, #1392387, #1361666, and #1391512.



UNCERTAINTIES: There were false positives within the image extents, but they did not stick out like the anomaly we reported.
