REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. Possible oil appeared to flow from a facility south of Lake Pelto and Whiskey Pass in the Ship Shoal area of Louisiana. The anomaly trailed east from the suspected source in block 66 east into block 67 where it turned north. The total length of the anomaly measured about 1.8 NM long and was no more than .1 NM wide throughout. The anomaly stood out against the background environment and false positives in the area. Winds were approximately 5 kts from SW.

UNCERTAINTIES: False positives were present in the area and winds were suboptimal for oil detection in SAR imagery.
