REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was in the Main Pass area of Louisiana and was associated with a possible facility source at its SE terminus. A NOAA/NESDIS NRC was also issued from yesterday's image for this facility location. Possible oil drifted to the NW of the facility for approximately 1.2 NM before feathering and fading to the NE, widening to .5 NM. The anomaly was bright and silver throughout and stood out in stark contrast to the background environment. Winds at the time were 18 kts from E, which would align with the sharper leading edge of silver along the western side of the anomaly.

UNCERTAINTIES: The extent estimated may be limited due to heavy cloud coverage north of the anomaly.
