REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was observed 48.31 NM south of Marsh Island, Louisiana. It stood out from the surrounding ocean background, with a section within the anomaly appearing shimmery and silvery, indicative of relatively thicker oil. The anomaly measured approximately 1.25 NM in length and 0.30 NM at its widest point. At the time of the image, winds were coming from the south at approximately 10 knots.


UNCERTAINTIES: An exact source was not identified, as multiple oil facilities were located to the west and northwest of the anomaly.
