REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The entirety of the anomaly measured 6.34 NM long and 0.93 NM wide with a patch of thicker oil that measured 1.14 NM long and 0.8 NM wide. The anomaly was 126 NM SE of Galveston, Texas. Winds at the time were east at 4 knots. This anomaly was distinct from vegetation and natural phenomena and had shimmery, silvery patches throughout. 


UNCERTAINTIES:
There were many false positives in the area of the anomaly. There was no suspected point source for this anomaly.
