REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was seen emanating from known repeat leak source, Wreck 1487, which is approximately 90 NM south of Nantucket, Massachusetts in the 7004 North Atlantic lease area/block. The linear anomaly extended roughly 1.5 NM SE of the wreck site, and was 0.2 NM at its widest. A portion of possible thicker oil looked white at the NW end of the anomaly, while the rest of the possible oil appeared dark against surrounding water. This anomaly was distinct from nearby vegetation, thus this possible oil detection is regarded as high confidence. Winds at the time of observation were from the WNW at approximately 11 knots, which aligns with the movement of the suspected oil.
