REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. A linear slick was located in the Breton Sound area within proximity to several oil facilities. The anomaly appeared moderately defined, and had a strong contrast against the ocean background. In addition, the anomaly was dark-toned and distinct from vegetation. It measured approximately 2.7 nm in length, and 0.1 nm at the widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the SW at 12 kts that aligned with the trajectory of the linear anomaly. 

UNCERTAINTIES: Multiple oil facilities were in the vicinity of the anomaly and therefore, a single suspected source could not be determined. Also, cloud cover was observed near the northeastern portions of the slick and may have obscured the overall extent.
