REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was located in the West Delta lease area, approximately 13.5 nm SSE of Bastian Bay, Louisiana. The linear anomaly exhibited dark contrast against the ocean background in optical imagery, with a silvery rainbow sheen visible throughout, indicative of possible thicker oil. It was within proximity to multiple facilities in the area and was not co-located with a natural seep. Overall, the anomaly measured approximately 0.8 NM in length and 0.15 NM in width. Winds near the time of the image were out of the SW at 10-15 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly was not attached to any of the nearby oil facilities. As such, a point source could not be determined.
