REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. This anomaly was associated with the repeat leak source Wreck 1487, located approximately 90 NM south of Nantucket, MA. Possible oil was observed in two distinct segments, one of which was directly west, while the other trailed towards the northeast. The anomaly exhibited dark contrast against the ocean background, and measured approximately 3.6 NM in length with a maximum width of 0.5 NM. Winds at the time of the image were from the south at 9 kts.
