REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was seen emanating from the known repeat leak source, Wreck 1487, located approximately 90 NM south of Nantucket, Massachusetts. The linear anomaly extended roughly 0.62 NM north of the source and was 0.1 NM at its widest. It looked distinct from natural phenomena and contrasted highly with the surrounding water. Winds at the time of observation were approximately 12 knots from the SSE, which aligned with the movement of the suspected oil.
