REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was observed 10.48 NM southeast of the coast of the Matagorda Island Wildlife Management Area in Port O’Connor, TX. It stood out against the ocean background, and a section within the anomaly appeared silvery and shimmery, suggesting the presence of relatively thicker oil. The entire anomaly measured 3.31 NM in length and 0.36 NM in width, while the thicker portion measured 1.36 NM in length and reached 0.23 NM at its widest point. Winds at the time of the image were coming from the southeast at 9 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The exact source of the anomaly could not be identified, as it was not observed in the immediate vicinity of any oil facility or other potential origin.
