REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to emanate from a facility located in the Main Pass area of Louisiana. It exhibited strong contrast against the ocean background in optical imagery, with a small portion of rainbow sheen observed closer to the source, indicative of possible thicker oil. The anomaly emanated northwards from the suspected source before it curved towards the east. Overall, the anomaly measured approximately 1.65 NM in length and was 0.12 NM at its widest. Winds near the time of the image were out of the south at 6 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: Partial cloud cover may have slightly obscured the full extent of the anomaly.
