REMARKS: 
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly extended NW for approximately 1.81 NM with a maximum width of .12 NM. The anomaly was located in the Chandeleur Sound #48 lease block and appeared to emanate from a suspected point source. The anomaly appeared dark and was indicative of oil in multi-spectral imagery. Local wind data (125° @ 11kn) indicates that winds were out of the Southeast and aligned well with the orientation of the anomaly. Confidence was determined to be high given that the anomaly is associated with a suspected point.

UNCERTAINTIES: 
Uncertainties are minimal; however, no previous NRC report was identified for this anomaly.
