Details/Specifics of Change:
On January 8, NOAA will hold a POES Constellation Configuration meeting.
One of the goals of the meeting is to determine the options to improve
ingest and dissemination of NOAA-15 AMSU-A data. With the failure of
NOAA-17 AMSU-A1, it is essential that NOAA examine options to improve
processing of NOAA-15 AMSU-A data. To satisfy the user needs for AMSU-A
data from NOAA-15, NOAA will examine options to reduce the number of
contacts from the older satellites. NOAA is soliciting user input
regarding their NOAA-11, 12, 14 and 15 level 1B data requirements. Please
provide only "must have" requirements.
