Details/Specifics of Change:
The new 1B format for NOAA-15,16, and 17 is scheduled for operational
implementation on 23 February 2005. We have place dynamic test data for this
new format on website and users should be testing the data. We would
appreciate any feedback you may have. We have updated the 1b header for the
AVHRR instrument to reflect the correct format version being used (this was
an oversight that may have caused some confusion). Please provide us with
any concerns you may have with the test data as soon as possible, and try to
keep in mind the date of 23 February 2005 ( subject to slip only if there is
a slip in the launch date for NOAA-N [currently scheduled for launch on 19
March 2005] ).
