THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS WILL OCCUR IN ORDER TO MAKE A "SCENE" COMPARISON OF
AVHRR AND A CALIBRATED RADIOMETER (MODIS). THE LAC DATA BEING SIMILAR TO
THE MODIS FOV IS THE REASON FOR THE SWITCH..

Details/Specifics of Change:
AVHRR channel 3A will be selected on NOAA-16 over part of the polar region .
The tests will be approx. 5-10 minutes long and encompass the region of 65
degrees north (magnetic) to the peak of the orbit ( where ascending turns
into desending). These two tests are scheduled to occur on July 28th, and
August 1st of year 2003..
