Topic:

Date/Time(UTC) Message Issued:
18 October 2002 1330 UTC

Satellite(s) Involved:
NOAA-12 and 14

Instrument(s) Involved:
ALL

Product(s) Involved/Affected:
Level 1B orbit parameters in the header

Date/Time(UTC) of Initial Implementation:
17 October 2002 1900 UTC

Details/Specifics of Change:
On October 17, Kathy Kidwell reported a problem where the orbit parameters
in the header for the NOAA-14 level 1B data were all zero. Our
investigations indicated that the parameters had been toggled off for both
NOAA-14 and NOAA-12 level 1B data sets. The parameters were turned back on
around 1900Z on October 17. We are investigating the extent of this
problem and will make efforts to correct the data in the archive.
