REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery. The possible oil was located approximately 14 nmi east of Stuart Beach, FL, and appeared to emanate northward from the location of the W.D. Anderson shipwreck. The possible oil measured approximately 10.2 nmi in length and up to 0.3 nmi in width. It had a dark appearance against its background with some sharper edges, and had a distinctly different appearance from ship wakes and natural phenomena in other areas of the image. Winds at the time of the image were from the E at 8-10 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: Although his location has occasionally been a source of MPSRs in the past, the most recent occurrence was in January 2022. However, no other likely source was identified.
